About Us

If you care about decent beer or cider and a good pub to drink it in, then you have come to the right place!

Our aim is to promote cask ale in Redditch, Bromsgrove, Droitwich and surrounding areas.

This is a great area for finding excellent ales and ciders and many of them are brewed locally.

We support locally brewed beers and ciders as we believe their quality frequently exceeds nationally available products.

We support our pubs, particularly those who are interested in supporting cask ales and especially those that stock locally brewed beers and ciders. We also campaign to keep pubs open and seek to stop pubs from being demolished.

Who we are

We’re a volunteer-led consumer not-for-profit organisation that enjoy good pubs in good company with great beer. We have over one thousand members in the north-east Worcestershire area who enjoy visiting pubs on a regular basis and care passionately about their pint. A map of our branch area can be found in the drop-down menu above.

We meet up once a month in different pubs across our branch area to talk about real ale and pubs. We run social trips to beer festivals, breweries, and of course, pub crawls! Our volunteers also organise the Redditch Winter Ale Festival and Bromsgrove Beer & Cider Festival. For a full list of our events, please visit our diary page.

In between sampling great beer and visiting pubs, we also campaign for consumer rights. We work with local MPs to lobby the government for fairer practices for pubs and campaign to axe the beer duty escalator. We also judge beers and pubs for various competitions; and contribute to CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide; as well as a quarterly magazine called Pint Taken; which is distributed to pubs across Worcestershire.
