The Redditch & Bromsgrove branch of CAMRA was formed back in the 1980s  and covers the whole of North Worcestershire including Redditch, Bromsgrove, Droitwich and all the surrounding villages.

We are a volunteer-led consumer organisation that enjoy good pubs in good company with great beer. We have over one thousand members across North Worcestershire who enjoy visiting pubs on a regular basis and care passionately about their pint. As well as taking every opportunity to sample our beloved cask ale, we also find to take part part in local and national campaigning.

We campaign in favour of our pubs, not only because in many cases they’re great places to visit but because without pubs we’d have nowhere to drink! See more about our recent pub campaigns.

We organise the annual Bromsgrove Beer & Cider Festival which is held at the Bromsgrove Rugby Club on Finstall Road and takes place towards the end of June. Our aim in holding this festival is to showcase some of the best beers, ciders and perries around, as well as presenting them in their best condition.

Along with our fellow Worcestershire branches we produce the Pint Taken magazine. This is published every quarter and provides news and articles about beer from Worcestershire and beyond. We print 10,000 copies each quarter and distribute them to pubs across Worcestershire.

To do all this, we rely heavily on our members. CAMRA is a national organisation and whilst at national level CAMRA can throw its weight around with the brewing industry as well as parliament, at a local level it is local activists that get things done.

But it’s not all campaigning, we do like to get together as much as possible and have a beer or two.

• We have a regular monthly meeting which we hold at pubs across our branch area, so hopefully all members have a chance to to attend.
• We have regular trips out and beyond our branch to visit interesting pubs around the country
• We visit and volunteer to work at local beer festivals
